Melissa, a graduate of Smithville High School, joined the firm in 2005 after completing both her Juris Doctor and her Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Akron. While in law school, Melissa was a member of the nationally ranked and very successful University of Akron School of Law Moot Trial Team.
In 2011, Melissa became a partner with the firm. She practices primarily in the areas of real estate, family law, corporate, and estate planning/probate. She was honored as a “Rising Star” in the Super Lawyers-Rising Star Edition of the Cincinnati Magazine/Northern Ohio Live Magazine. This is an honor bestowed on less than 2.5% of attorneys in Ohio. Melissa is also a licensed real estate title agent.
Melissa is currently President of the Wayne County Bar Association. She is the past President of the Board of Trustees for OneEighty, Inc., the past Chairperson of the Wayne County Bar Association Grievance Committee, a former Solicitor for the Village of Dalton, and a former board member for Green Local Schools. Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and children, watching high school sports, reading, and hiking.
