Melissa Craemer Smith

Melissa, a graduate of Smithville High School, joined the firm in 2005 after completing both her Juris Doctor and her Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Akron. While in law school, Melissa was a member of the nationally ranked and very successful University of Akron School of Law Moot Trial Team.

In 2011, Melissa became a partner with the firm. She practices primarily in the areas of real estate, family law, corporate, and estate planning. She was honored in 2009 by being selected as a “Rising Star” in the Super Lawyers-Rising Star Edition of the Cincinnati Magazine/Northern Ohio Live Magazine. This is an honor bestowed on less than 2.5% of attorneys in Ohio. Melissa is also a real estate title agent. 

Melissa is the current President of the Board of Trustees for OneEighty, Inc., the Chairperson of the Wayne County Bar Association Grievance Committee, and the Solicitor for the Village of Dalton. She is also a former board member for Green Local Schools, the former Secretary/Treasurer for the Wayne County Bar Association, and a former Orrville/Dalton YMCA board member. She resides outside of Smithville with her husband Barry, who is a teacher and football coach, and their three children.
